Even though my daughters are just little girls, it seems they are growing up quicker than ever. How do they do that?! old florida
As a Florida native, I am finding that the older I get, the more I am appreciating the scenery and feel of old Florida. The oak trees, palm trees, dirt (sand) and leaves ... and the less I like what this state is becoming. Thankfully, we are preserving places like these ... Alpine Groves park is on 54 acres, along the Bartram Trail, and on the St. Johns River. One word: GORGEOUS!david dondero

brie's blooms
At age 4, Brielle has fallen in love with flowers. Today's the first day of spring, so everywhere we have gone over the past couple weeks, there's a bloom that she has to stop and pick. Definitely gives renewed meaning to "stop and smell the flowers." She literally does, and it helps me to remember that the little things matter ... and that it's important to slow down and enjoy every little moment of our great life!

whiskey river
From what I understand, Willie Nelson opens every show with his song "Whiskey River." The same was true for his March 14 performance at the St. Augustine Amphitheatre. It was great hearing him belt out all his song that I've heard my entire life on the radio ... and his voice sounds exactly the same, even though he'll be 76 this April. Go Willie!
living legend
On the road again! We camped at Anastasia State Park this weekend ... in our home town ... St. Augustine. Willie Nelson played at the St. Augustine Amphitheatre on March 14; the amphitheatre is adjacent to the park and campground ... so we heard the entire concert from the campsite. But I got this shot just in the front of the stage (press pass because I work for the St. Augustine Record). Willie Nelson is a living music legend, and I'm so lucky to have taken photos of him!

Little fingers, little toes, sparkling eyes, and button nose! Miranda is a big, bouncing baby at 6 months old.

My friend Nickole's little baby Miranda is already 6 months old! And she enjoys eating flowers ... so yummy! She and her big sister Kira were wearing matching dressings and flower headbands ... that were just too good to resist taking a bite! We took some sister photos at Project Swing on March 6.
